Message from Mayor Buontempo:

Good evening. This is Mayor Greg Buontempo.

I want to remind everyone that we are holding our first Large Item Drop Off event of the year at Bell Works tomorrow from 8am-2pm. Given the new location and the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the process for drop off has changed. Please review the instructions on our website. A second drop-off event is scheduled for the following Saturday, May 16th.

Second tonight, with guidance from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Rite Aid Pharmacy is expanding its testing criteria and opening additional no-charge testing sites. Effective today, all Rite Aid testing locations will now begin to test anyone over the age of 18, even if they are asymptomatic. Patients are required to provide government issued identification, be at least 18 years old, and must pre-register online at This is another testing option available in addition to the PNC Bank Arts Center, which is open to the general public on Mondays and Wednesdays.

I wish a Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms in our Holmdel family.

Goodnight. As always, please stay home, stay healthy and stay safe.

Total Positive COVID-19 Cases in Holmdel: 214
