May 1st COVID-19 Update from Mayor Buontempo

May 1 update banner

Message from Mayor Buontempo:

Good evening.  This is Mayor Greg Buontempo.

We have received several inquiries regarding the drug take back program.  The Holmdel Police Department will be happy to accept unused medicine at Town Hall weekdays between 8:30-4:30. Leave unneeded medication safely with the officer on duty.

We ended the month of April with a tremendous amount of donations of PPE.  To date, the Township has collected thousands of masks, over a thousand pairs of gloves, hundreds of face shields, over a hundred Tyvek suits and gallons of hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies.  Thank you.  We will continue the collections through the pandemic, if you would like to donate email

Lastly tonight, just in time for the beautiful spring weather in the forecast this weekend, our Recreation Department has created a 30-Day Family Fitness Challenge and we encourage you and your family to participate.  Remember the Township parks are open and the County parks will be opening tomorrow morning.  Social distancing guidelines must be followed in order for continued use of these facilities.

Goodnight, and as always, please stay home, stay healthy and stay safe.

Total Positive COVID-19 Cases in Holmdel:  201
