ELECTION INFORMATION


 

Voter Registration

 

To register to vote in you must be:

 

            - a United States citizen.

            - 18 years old by the next election.

            - a resident of the county for 30 days before the election.

 

The registration deadline to vote at the next election is 21 days prior to election day.

 

Voter registration forms are available for Holmdel Township residents at the Township Clerk's Office or at the County Board of Elections Office, 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold, (732) 431-7800. Please call the Township Clerk's Office on (732) 946-2820 if you need additional information.  The form may also be downloaded here

Elections

 

Elections are held on the First Tuesday that follows a Monday in June and November.  Polls open at 6:00 AM and close at 8:00 PM.

 

For the year 2013 the Primary Election will be held on June 4, 2013 and the General Election will be held on November 5, 2012.

 

 

 

 

Party Declaration


A registered voter desiring to affiliate with a party or change their party affiliation you must file a Political Party Affiliation Declaration Form 55 days before an election.  The form is available at the Township Clerk’s office or may be downloaded here. 

Vote By Mail

 

In New Jersey, any voter can now vote via Absentee Ballot for any election. You do not need to state a reason for an Absentee Ballot. A completed Application for Vote by Mail Ballot may be sent to the Monmouth County Clerk up to 7 days prior to the election by mail or delivered in person at the Monmouth County Clerk's Office until 3:00 p.m., the day before the election. The County Clerk cannot accept faxed copies of an Application for Vote by Mail Ballot.  The forms are available at the Township Clerk’s office or may be downloaded here.

Holmdel Township has 10 Voting Districts.

 

District 1  votes at the Senior/Community Center on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 2 votes at the Senior/ Community Center on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 3 votes at Holmdel Town Hall located on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 4 votes at the Senior/ Community Center on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 5 votes at the Village School located on McCampbell Road

 

District 6 votes at the Satz School located on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 7 votes at the Satz School located on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 8 votes at the Satz School located on Crawfords Corner Road

 

District 9 votes at the Village School located on McCampbell Road

 

District 10 votes at the Senior/Community Center on Crawfords Corner Road
