Current Codes and Standards

Effective August 20, 2007 all applications must utilize the following codes and standards pursuant to N.J.A.C. 5:23:

2006 IBC (New Jersey Edition)

2006 IRC (New Jersey Edition)

2006 National Standard Plumbing Code

2006 International Energy Conservation Code (2004 ASHRAE 90.1)

2006 International Fuel Gas Code

2006 International Mechanical Code

2002 NFPA-13 Sprinkler Standard*

2002 NFPA-72 Fire Alarm Standard*

2005 National Electrical Code*

* These codes can only be viewed after being purchased from NFPA.

Applications that reference previously adpoted codes and standards beyond the grace period which expired on August 17, 2007 cannot be accepted.
